MX5 City Sponsored Driver Hits Former Belgium Grand Prix Circuit

Greensmith on Tour in Belgium! Last weekend was an interesting one as the MX-5 Super cup makes history and sets tyres down on the Zolder Circuit.
The Zolder Circuit is the former host of the Belgium Grand Prix. BRSCC have organised for the Supercup and Championship to hit Europe for the first time in its history. The line up for the Supercup only had twelve entrants but all of high quality, one of them being our very own Jonathan Greensmith. Jonathan has consistently reached 3rd place this season just behind the current champion Alan Henderson who has decided to sit out the rounds in Belgium, but will return to Oulton Park.
“Sheffield racer Greensmith has struggled to match the outright pace of Henderson, Baldwin and Roche so far this term, but his consistency leaves him in third place in the overall standings, remaining a credible threat.” Jon Elsey
The entry list:
2 James Blake-Baldwin
3 Liam Murphy
5 Jonathan Greensmith
11 Nick Dougill
19 Carl Garnett
21 Simon Fleet
25 Tom Roche
40 Raymond Worley
41 David Willoughby
43 Jack Harding
46 Simon Goddard
91 Jamie Goddard
223 Garry Townsend
In the end Greensmith was yet again consistent with a 3rd &4th place on Saturday and Sunday, although this was due to some technical issues which arose with the car. We will leave you with his thoughts on the weekend. Well done Jon!
"Great weekend at zolder p3 and p4 wish it was better, some good hard racing by everyone, this championship is hard but love it big time."
